Chris and her brother Joe at Multnomah Falls along the Columbia Gorge in Oregon on a cold rainy Spring day.
This week’s topic is Things that are Cold. I’m not sure if this set has a title or not. It is basically uses the sense of touch and sight. You can get photos of the sun because that is hot. Steaming food or water. Maybe something that is hot pink. Don’t forget the flames. Or even some that is real popular right now. Use your imagination and creativity for this challenge. The thing is to have a lot of fun. Be as creative if you want. Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything new you can photograph.

My Entry for the Week
Chris’s footprints in the little bit of snow we had this year.
Birds at my bird feeder a couple of winters ago when we had more snow.
A foggy January morning in Astoria, Oregon.
A guy at a car wash. I bet he stays cold most of the year. Yes our car washes are open year round in Canby, Oregon.
A girl enjoying a slushy (crushed ice that is flavored).Qi (energy) hugs,
Cee

That “little bit of snow” is more than we’ve had! And I love the bird shot – great capture!
And thank you very much for highlighting my hot Turkish shot.

The B&W car wash photo is a really good one, Cee. I like the motion of the water drops and concentration on the worker’s face.

Thanks Allan. I just happened to have my camera along as we went through a car wash and I said to myself take photos silly girl. 😀

You certainly picked a timely subject! We had our second significant snow ending last night … more predicted. And it is getting VERY cold.
I love the picture of the tall ships in the harbor. The snow and the fog are wonderfully moody. Reminds me of old painting from the 1800s.

Btw that pingback from me goes to the wrong post, sorry — there was a goof-up with WordPress inputs while I composed it. I’ve linked to this challenge here instead: https://halfaphotograph.wordpress.com/2016/02/09/dessert-time/

I love your photos, especially the birds. It’s high summer here in Australia, so things that are cold are few and far between. I’ve posted a memory of something quite cold.https://jennysotherstuff.wordpress.com/2016/02/10/cees-fun-foto-challenge-things-that-are-cold/

I love your photo from Multnomah Falls, Cee. Coincidentally, I’ve gone for a totally waterfall theme:
Streaming off the Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s Hvítá River definitely falls into the category of Things That Are Cold. Especially if you get too close to one of its waterfalls!

I think the Astoria photo makes me feel the coldest, just because that kind of fog at the coast makes me cold to the bones. The photo with the bird squeezing under the snow weighted orange is cute! Living in Hawaii and just returning from India and Dubai, and the year before, Southeast Asia, I am sorely lacking in “cold” images (even my trip to Alaska was unseasonably warm). Hopefully I can jump in to the next challenge.
