Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: “What’s This”

051716cffcThis current series consists of combinations of colors and happy pets and flowers.  It is time to just have some fun.

This week’s topic is a “What’s This”.  The concept for this challenge was suggested by Judy over at LifeLessons blog.  This challenge is to post a photo or two that you think viewers might be not be able to identify.  And let bloggers guess as to what object you photographed.  This is meant to be fun and hopefully will get us interacting with each other more than usual.  I am using more than two items in my post, to help you get ideas for this challenge.  The thing is to have a lot of fun with this challenge.  Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything new you can photograph.

  1. The first photo are perhaps the small flat candles in their glass holders. The next is a macro of a sponge or perhaps Emmental cheese? The bamboo sticks are bound together – Perhaps you use them for beating wheat before you process the seeds to flour to make bread. The last photo are definitely dalek children invading planet earth. They are creeping slowly but surely into the challenge.

  2. I guess the first one is medicine in its package on top of each other, the second…no clue at all, some filling for something to sit on maybe? The bamboo might be an outdoor carpet? And the last one a climbing wall (don’t know the english words).
Great post and really a fun topic Cee.

  3. Before I read any comments I want to guess. 1. Fruit frozen into ice circles. 2. Packing foam. 3 bamboo window shades. 4. Climbing wall. Now I have to read the other comments and Thanks for the feature!

  4. 🙂 I think the first ones are packages of cough drops.
I don’t know what the bamboo sticks are for.
And no. 2 looks like foamed plastic.
I have no clue what picture no. 4 resembles.
Have a very HAPPY evening 🙂

  5. I am not sure what the first two are, but I loving the abstract of all. My favorite is the second one.

  6. The first one I’m don’t have a guess. The second looks like a foam pad with holes drilled in it – probably packing material. The third is wooden blinds and the fourth, a. Limbing wall. Now I’ll go read the comments.

  7. Can’t figure out the first two, but the third looks like bamboo privacy screen/fencing. The bottom looks like a rock climbing wall. Close?

  8. Holds on a rock climbing wall, bamboo or cane bundles, a foam mattress pad and the top one looks like road reflectors that are viewed through something that multiplies them..on a watery surface… Has me stumped completely. You took to this one with a vengeance, Cee! (I love it when you listen to me!)

    • I obviously liked your idea. Thanks for it!!!!
The first one is allergy pills in those aluminum sheets. The second is my pillow. The third one is bamboo is tomato stakes. And you definitely got the climbing wall right.

      • The allergy pills were brilliant… I thought perhaps paste rouge in glass jars, but couldn’t figure out the layers between, and what looked like thin sheets of water. You did a good job with your response and I think people enjoyed guessing. Well, I did at least, but I love puzzles.

  9. I am not reading the other guesses before posting my ideas. The first photo looks like blister packs of throat lozenges stacked on top of each other. The spongey thing looks like packaging material or a wall around a speaker or similar to absorb sound. The bamboo sticks are difficult without a scale I just take a plunge: for gardening purposes. The last is a climbing wall – these have become very fashionable on German kids’ playgrounds; we used to have simple ladders to get on slides, kids today have to work to get up in order to slide down!

    And here is my contribution:

    • You actually did pretty well. Here are the answers

  10. Cool one! I guessed #3 and #4 right 🙂 I suggest “Cats” as one of the Fun photo theme. Imagine a series of entries that are cats… oooooh, fun!

  11. My guess… 1. Some kind of gel candle
    2. I’m baffled
    3. Bamboo for fishing poles?
    4. Climbing wall
    Thanks for such fun!

Not sure I’m doing the pingback thing correct…hopefully you got my submissions.
