I love these, every year I intended to get one but totally forgot by planting time. I do get to enjoy them with zero work at my neighbors and here

That’s a gorgeous one Cee. I’m like you with Peonies don’t usually photograph them, although loved the ones I saw growing in the wild a few weeks ago.

That is a very beautiful peony. It is very rare that we would see such a peony, they are usually the red kind here. I also have an asiatic peony, not filled and so specitacular, but also very decorative. I am still waiting for them to flower.

Our season for peonies are almost over. I’ve just not taken a lot of photos of them this year. I think I had too much fun with my irises. 😀

You have the most interesting varieties of peonies that I’ve ever seen!! My mom had huge bushes of these all the way down the sidewalk between our house and garage, but nothing this unique. I love this angle–like windblown hair. Once again, love love this. Wish my mom were alive to see this daily flower challenge. She loved flowers..or perhaps it was my dad who planted them, now that I think of it…If my sister sees this, she’ll let me know!

We have some real bland varieties in the backyard. They were here when we moved in. They are so bland I don’t even photograph them, but they do add a nice pop of color. Sounds like your mom had a beautiful yard and good memories for you.
