Flower of the Day – March 23, 2017 – Poor Little Hyacinths

Feel free to add your floral photo to the comments. This way we can all enjoy everyone’s flowers.

If you like my flower of the day, you may want to check out my photo of the day at Cee’s Showcase of Photography.

I took this photo yesterday in Portland, Oregon.  We’ve hd so much rain you can see the splatter on the hyacinth leaves.

  1. Poor things! Thanks for sharing. The weather has been warm and sunny this Spring here in Switzerland but yesterday we had torrential rain and this morning there is snow! I walked to work in the snow (55 minutes – I do it each day) and I can tell you I was in a hurry to reach work – it was freezing! The new trees looked in a sorry state underneath the layer of snow. I have a poetry blog here on WordPress in case you have time to have a look? Have a good day, Sam 🙂

  2. They are gorgeous. I have grape hyacinths and next year (if I get ambitious) I’ll have your sort too…need to plant the bulbs and give them time. 😉 Thanks for sharing that lovely flower!

  5. I love the picture of the horse–soft eyelashes. I used to have hyacinths. It was always the first sign of spring. So far all we have here is sagebrush. I love it but it doesn’t change much. But the weather is so much better here now.
