This is lovely. I was wondering during the fires whether you had missed out on some of your chances to see the dahlia fields at their peak. It seemed hardly important at the time, given everything else going on.

I did miss the peak of the season, so my gallery of dahlias this is pathetic. I only got the early part. I didn’t have the heart to go see if they got ruined by the smoke or lack of watering once I got home. This is one of the photos I got from this year. Rest assured, I still have thousands of dahlias in my archive 😀
