Pretty, but apart from Arctic poppies, a poppy has to be red. It’s the law 😉

I miss the California poppies, Cee! I have lots of photos thank goodness. I was surprised and so pleased to see so many in bloom in Portland last week. What a lovely and bright field of green and orange! I looked for our botanic gardens’ field of poppies when I was there in May – I always love to see the field on a hill covered with orange, white, and red poppies! They didn’t have it this year – apparently it’s too expensive to maintain! So thank you for this beautiful photo!
