That yellow rhodo is new to me. I’ve put down 2022 as the rhodo hunting year.
I forgot to add the cannonball flowers yesterday:

I went to college in West Virginia, primarily because it offered so much in terms of camping and hiking. Once a bunch of us went to a place called Blackwater Falls. It was lovely. The mountains were covered with trees, but the forest floor was full of rhododendrons. I was intrigued, did some investigating and discovered that rhododendrons were the state flower.

Beautiful rhodes, Cee 👏 I don’t think I’ve seen ones that colour, most over here vary from purple, through red & pink to white 😃

AH, Rhododendron! When we were on our trek in the Himalayas (Rhododendron is their national flower) we walked through a beautiful forest full of these gorgeous flowers! You can check them out here: https://awaywegomk.com/2021/07/01/everest-base-camp-trek-day-3-4-5-8-5-9/
