Your oak leaves are turning scarlet? Our never turn anything but bronzy brown. I’m impressed. Those are glorious oak leaves!

I miss the true autumn leaves. Ours are nearly 100% No Autumnal colours not evergreen so much as ever leaved.
They take it in turns to fall so there is always a full head of hair. When they are dried they are brown,though not pretty.

We get some good color here. The problem is the colorful ones turns colors at different times of the season. So it never looks that colorful. 😀

I once bought a scarlet oak from Ludlow market and planted it next to our compost pile, it did ok, but then died a sad death, but the leaves are truly something, spiky and red, two of the best things
