Bloganuary: What does it mean to live boldly?

I’m not sure what boldly means for sure. I think we all translate the word boldly differently. That’s the thing with words. We all hear and interpret them differently.

I’ve been thinking about this word all day and have read many of your responses. What came to my mind is living boldly is living without regret. I can’t think of anything I would do differently with my life. I’m content. I feel balanced.

Can I make a list of things I’ve done in the past 60 years that people might call bold, Yes. Cowardly, Yes. Brave, Yes. Intelligent, Yes. Naive or Stupid, Yes. Spontaneous, Yes. Well planned, Yes. Protective, Yes. And, no doubt the list can go on and on.

The one thing I can say is as I get older and more comfortable with myself, I am proud of who I am, how I live my life, and what I have or sometime have not accomplished. I am comfortable in my own skin most of the time.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. Yours is a fabulous state of mind…I remember my mother telling me her later years were when she felt most content. I am reaching this self-reflecting time myself and content is a perfect word to describe me today. Thanks Cee!

  2. I see the stones, hard and unyielding, still the sea shaped them. And life is a balancing act. Sometimes being the anchor or the middle or the top stone requires boldness?
