When I came to this post I had to wonder, how did she know? What caused that neat coincidence? Today’s post in “My Street Photography” had been scheduled for some time. The photo is just about all stones. It is not in B&W, but color is not all that prominent, a yellow post, a colorful cycling jacket and some greenery. The rest is stones. Actually, historic stones. Back in the days of sailing ships when Savannah was a major port for cotton exports, the ships came with ballast stones in their holds for stability. The stones were dumped out to make way for the cotton. Those stones were then used to pave the streets and in building. So what you see in my photo is stones and stones brought over from Europe. https://ludwig.gallery/2022/06/my-street-photography-030/

Ooooh, I love this challenge, Cee. I love bricks and stone buildings so much! You’ve added pathways to that as well. So cool in black and white.

A fun challenge 😀 Thanks!! I love those steps — to look at. I would hate having to navigate those steps, especially in the rain.

I would think they would be slippery when wet, considering the moss we get. Hopefully they keep them clean 😀 😀

Brick and stone are so attractive in buildings and paths. They have a much warmer look than concrete, steel and glass.

I love those steps. I mean I wouldn’t climb them or anything but I would definitely photograph them, lol

I see you have a stone staircase too. Many of the homes in my area are old and brick- sometimes the patterns are so interesting- you have inspired me to take photos and do a post in the future!
Here’s mine this week
