CBWC: Busy Photos but with a Purpose

This week our topic is Busy Photos but with a Purposes. This challenge needs to have a lot of objects or things happening in your photo. For those of you who edit your photos, you can use selective color to tie a lot of things together and give the viewer a story. I hope you have FUN a lot of fun with this challenge.

This photo from last week is perfect because it has the bridges, arches, lines, a hand rail, the house through an arch. There is a lot of stuff going on. I just had to post it again. There are lots of textures with the rocks, wood, sidewalk and concrete.

Be creative if you feel like it, and have fun with this challenge this week. Remember your photos needs to be black and white, desaturated, sepia (brown tones) or selective color.  I’m looking forward to seeing what you all come up.

Please note that I have a series of Tips from Cee page. I posted several tips for black and white you may want to check out.

Feel free to take new photos or dig through your archives.  The main object of this challenge is to have fun.

My Entry this Week

This building and its vents show lots of different shapes and types of surfaces. It is the back of the Glass Museum in Tacoma, Washington.
Here I used selective color to pull the photo together. There is traffic, lights, wires, clouds, storefronts in this photo.
Chris teach kids how to twist balloons, There is a lot of activity in the background.
Again I used a washed out selective color on this photo. It has the US Coast Guard practicing drills, the dock, the boat, water, and in the background, buildings, steps going down the side of the hill, and part of a bridge.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. These are great. I prefer the all black and white ones. There is so much contrast going on with them that they don’t need anything else. Fabulous shots!
