The tracks in the first photo look a bit warped, was it a hot day? One of my favourite subjects as you know.

Owen took all the train pictures, so he is the author of this post. This train — which still runs once every day, though it doesn’t go anywhere — was the tiny railroad that services the factories and mills along the Blackstone River. Most of the factories — at least the ones that were built from bricks — are still there, deep in the swamps. There are no roads, so the factories are still standing deep in the swamps.
There’s a lot of history that go with these trains. They have a lot of old pictures from when these factories were functional at the museum in town.
