FOTD – November 1 – Bearded Iris

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD). During the winter months, please feel free to use your archives and find some old favorite photos.

Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it. Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts gardens, leaves and berries as well as flowers.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Wow, that is some incredible color. If irises bloomed in autumn, that one would blend well with the pumpkins! It’s the color of many of the trees right now, too.

  That would be cool if they did. In fact someone across the street from me has double blooming irises and they loom in September for the second time.

    We get second blooms of rhodies and roses. This year, nothing survived the drought, but in a more “normal” year, there were a few. I never heard of irises making a “rerun.”
