      • All the tanagers are bright and beautiful. We have the scarlet tanager here, though they are becoming rare everywhere. It’s habitat loss. We cut down forests and tanagers are not birds that thrive near people. They like to be off in the woods — and getting picture of one is very special. They used t have a far more extensive range, but birds are dying by the billions (not an exaggeration) — so anywhere they are thriving is good news.

  1. I am glad you found some real beauties Cee. I laughed at the flat tyre. Tractor tyres are so heavy and am glad it’s not me doing the change πŸ™‚
