Dahlias are so beautiful there. I make so many cut and paste errors. Anyone who posts as much as you do is bound to make one of those at some point. We had a funny tulip incident today at the Desert Botanical Garden. My blogging friend Nancy said, “Oh this cactus looks just like a tulip. I don’t know all my flowers, but I know tulips, and the tiny daisies that I saw did not look like tulips or cacti. After she moved, and I could see what she saw through the spindly daisies – a beautiful yellow cactus flower, I had to agree, it did look more like a tulip than the yellow daisies I thought she was talking about. I was sure I needed new eyes.

Hi Cee, how apropos that you are showing this lovely tulip ( is it a tulip?) for your flower of the weekend challenge 🙂 We enjoyed are trip to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm last week. This is an interesting color challenge for SS this week as we look at purple, and/or quartz, diamond and crystal. Hope you can join in!
Have you been to the tulip farm? I imagine it’s close to where you live. I read that they were going to be open until May 5 but retracted to closing a week earlier due to the early blooming of the tulips. Glad we got to go!

No I’m not going this year. Maybe next year. I can’t believe how early they bloomed this year. Allergy pollens are super high too. I’m having a horrible time breathing. The tulip farm is maybe 15-20 minute drive on country roads. I am thinking I will finally be good enough to make it to the dahlias this year. I am finally getting some strength back and have been working on that.
Hope you had a nice time at the tulip farm. They are amazing to see in person.
