This grouping of dahlias in my front yard almost look like sunbonnet. ENJOY EVERYONE! Feel free to add your floral photo to the comments. This way we can all enjoy everyone’s flowers.

Here’s my flower: https://snailsearch.wordpress.com/2015/10/04/african-violet/
I love dahlias for outdoor flowers, and when it comes to indoor plants, I love African violets. When I was younger, I use to think they were old lady-ish. Now I have become that old lady.

Strange what times does to our thinking. I remember my mom had African violets in the house growing up. We have cats, so we don’t have any indoor plants, but outdoor plants galore.

Oh oh. Found another hibiscus I adore. And I can’t buy another one. The last one I bought I had to give to Yolanda becuse there is no more room in my garden–and it turned out to be a tree, not a bush or vine! http://judydykstrabrown.com/2015/10/04/heavenly-hibiscuscees-flower-of-the-day-challenge/

I keep wondering why I don’t plant dahlias, but I’ve figured it out. None I see here compare with your beauties, and I get a new one every day that never dies!

I would think you are way too hot and dry. They need water and temps below 90.

I know there are dahlia trees (that grow from tubers) and they grow in warmer climates. Might be something to look into. I don’t know anything about them though.
