Large Tree
This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is Large Subjects. In this case, I would define large as something bigger than a person, but that is all up to your interpretation. You can show a St. Bernard dog next to a miniature Chihuahua and the St. Bernard would appear to be huge. Have a lot of fun with this topic. Sepia tones and selective color are always allowed in this challenge. I just want you to have some fun with your photography.
For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below. Be creative and challenge yourself. For a great black and white photo look for contrast or highly textured subjects to photograph.
Featured Bloggers
Thank you everyone for your overwhelming enthusiasm for the challenge last week. I’m proud to announce our featured bloggers from the topic of Older than 50 Years. Please check out their posts, they are worthy of a second look. ENJOY!

MY ENTRY THIS WEEK

Huge boulder/cliff near Seal Rock Beach, Oregon. Notice the people on the beach.

Mt Hood, Oregon (11,239′ Oregon’s tallest mountain)

Large Cargo Ship and 5-Story Hotel

Large Barn
Qi (energy) hugs
Cee
I love all of these! Your photos really capture the sense of how huge all the subjects are. It must be rather shocking to look out the windows of that hotel and see a ship that gigantic so close. Thank you so much for featuring my post. That was a wonderful surprise this morning!

Actually you would think they’d feel close. I’ve stayed in that hotel several times. And that ship is actually not even close to the hotel. It just goes to show how big that ship really is.

Wow, it looks like it’s right behind the hotel! Very cool. I love to watch big cargo ships like that.

You would love staying at that hotel. It’s in Astoria, you can watch the big cargo ships all day long.

That ship really looks very dominant and imposing. You certainly have some big places in your part of the world, and so I suppose that is why they build such big barns to fit into the background.

LOL. We do have some wide open spaces and big things to fill them. 😀

Great shots, Cee. I love the first one – the people and seagull really define the scale for us.
I’m off to think about large!

I almost mentioned the seagull, I didn’t know how many would see him. Thanks.

That’s a really BIG cargo ship. Huge. And the boulder. This challenge got me going back into the Arizona files. I still have hundreds of pictures I haven’t processed. Some, I probably never will get to, but when you mention large, I can’t help but think of the mountains, the desert … and that great blue dome of sky.
