This week the topic is Hot and Cold. I want to see things that are either hot or cold. This is a little trickier in black and white. You can have any topic you choose. Weather can be hot or cold, different seasons can imply hot or cold. A stop sign in black and white could convey cold. Smiling people can convert warmth and welcoming. If all else fails, you an always use sepia tones which are more on the warm side and the blueish-black conveys colder tones. I just want you to have some fun with your photography.
For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list at below. Be creative and challenge yourself. For a great black and white photo look for contrast or highly textured subjects to photograph.
Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything new you can photograph.

I remember the first time I my cat saw snow. He’d take a step and, shake his paw off, then take another step and shake his paw off.
Would it be okay if I painted you landscape scene? I’m into mountains and water these days.

Love the engine photo; very classy. To me, the engine is hot (because it’s just been running). It’s lovely when a photo can be one or the other, elicit different feelings. Love the deer, too. My contribution is from photos taken in China: https://jennifercrites.wordpress.com/2016/12/01/cbw-hot-and-cold/

Photography is all about interpretation. Thanks for pointing it out. 😀 I took this during a car show, so I know the engine was cold at the time. Our memories and past history, can change the look and feel of photo so fast.

That’s what I was thinking, too. Photography is art, and art is about interpretation. That’s one of the joys of it.

I love the concept for this weeks challenge. I’ve been trying to keep up but with a trip to Iceland I’ve been a bit over whelmed. It is the land of fire and ice though…That counts right?
Take a look

I had to exercise my grey cells for this one, but found a couple of photos somewhere. I am sure Freddie is glad to see one of his baby photos here. The grey constrasts over the Columbia Gorge are very impressive.

It’s hard to image Freddie that young anymore. We got him when he was 12 weeks. The colored version of the Columbia Gorge is impressive to.

Oh this one’s going to be tricky…….still struggling with chairs……great pictures!!!. 🙂 🙂

Do you have a chair in your home. 😀 Restaurants are great places to take chair photos too. Furniture stores would work. Hot and cold faucets would work too. A warm cup of tea or coffee. A cold glass of water or milk. Hope this helps.
