I love this song, and actually had never heard Johnny Cash singing it! The photos are lovely, too – sharing a day in the sun with someone you love, just enjoying life and the world in the moment. Great choice!

I actually can sing all the words to this song, which dates from my childhood. It originated in 1939, when I was five years old…I don’t remember the first version. I love most everything Johnny Cash ever sang… I think my favorite of all is “Islands in the Sun,” his duet with Dolly Parton.
The photos are great…I love the first one with the incoming tide.

I can sing The Gambler, too, not that I am overwhelmed with requests.

back in the 50s when we were young teenagers my brother was a great fan of Lefty Frizzell…I can also do a (bad) version of Lovesick Blues. That was before Bill Haley and the Comets, and Chuck Berry. circa 1952-53.
