This is very good Cee. I’ve been shooting dead Peonies for a week and just couldn’t get the shot I wanted, I was probably too close. 👍

Depends on what you are seeing. I typically don’t take photos of dead flowers, because I don’t see the beauty in them. This one I just took for the heck of it and it actually turned out somewhat good. There are people who really see the beautify in fading flowers and their photography is outstanding.

Every cycle of the life of the flower is interesting, looks like a little bug thinks the same

I still find beauty in these wilted flowers. Here is mine:

It’s a shame peonies don’t last longer. I normally deadhead them straight away but maybe I should leave them.

How amazing – I wonder what the flower was like before it wilted?

This flower just got another chance to be appreciated even in her demise. 🙂 One thing I like about “spent” flowers…my son was told when he worked for a nursery that the faded flowers were not dead…just spent.
I have some red/white tulips that have special meaning to me, and this year they just hung on and on…not pretty, but persistent . 🙂

“…Delta Dawn, what’s that flower you have on? It’s just a faded rose from days gone by…” comes to mind. I admit I’m an incurable romantic and have a fondness for past-their-prime things…
