Here is my entry for John’s from Journeys From Johnbo blog, Cellpic Sunday.
Oregon is not known for colorful birds, at least in the part of Oregon I live in. This Western Tanager was captured on our front feeder. Sorry its a little blurry, but the photo was taken through a window and about 12 feet from the bird. I did crop it in a little closer. By the way, that is one of our rhododendron bushes in the background. Used my iPhone 13.0 Max Pro wide angle to get this photo.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I always enjoy images of birds. I’ve seen a number of posts in the last few days… Could it be spring? 🙂

I love these birds. We had one coming for baths last year but I haven’t seen it yet this year.

I had one in my waterfall here in SoCal this weekend. Of course, no camera with me. ☹️ I didn’t recognize it as a tanager until I saw your pic.

Very pretty bird. We get scarlet tanagers here occasionally, but they aren’t common. I’ve never seen a western tanager before. Just lovely.
