I learned a new word today although I don’t know when I will ever need to use “auger” in a sentence. 😉
But in truth, I like the tree best!

The tree i cool. I used to work for a company that would drill caissons for structures, so I’m used to augers. 😀 😀

That mailbox post brought a smile to my face and you’ve tempted me with the soft serve ice cream.

YUM … I want ice cream now. Delicious!!!
I love the crooked tree. I wonder what weather element created that curve.
Great pics … I hope you enjoy my choice.

Actually it is more likely the roots had to grow around a boulder 😀

Mmm, ice cream! I live the tree trunk with the early bend. My guess is that when it was a baby someone stationed a picnic bench over it. It grew around it, shot straight up, then the bench wore out and was destroyed.

You are too funny. It was more likely a big rock the roots had to grow around and it cause the tree to be crooked. 😀

Love your photos (as usual!) I hope you don’t mind that I double-dipped with Tina’s LAPC for this week. I have a crooked tree and a squiggly path that I think would fit your CFFC topic for this week: https://peacefulatdawn.com/2022/05/03/lens-artists-challenge-framing-nature-in-thirds-or-not/

If I had looked at yours first, I would have remembered all my pictures of marine ropes and hoses. But I’m glad I didn’t. I love your ice cream the most, maybe because it looks so yummy. And you reminded me that I think it is finally time to plant here in the north country, or will be (according to the weather gods) by the end of next week. When we will be in Minnesota…
My post will be up in about an hour.
